Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 1, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Cutler Tech uses them, and what choices you have regarding their use. We use cookies and browser local storage in a limited way, and we are transparent about exactly what we store.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by websites you visit. They allow websites to remember information about your visit — such as your preferences — and to recognize you on return visits. Browser local storage is a similar mechanism that stores information locally in your browser, but is accessible only by the website that created it.
2. How We Use Cookies and Local Storage
Cutler Tech uses a small number of cookies and local storage entries for the following specific purposes:
| Name / Key | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
ce_cookie_consent |
Local Storage | Stores your response to our cookie consent banner (accepted or declined), so we don't show it again on subsequent visits. | Until you clear browser storage |
ce_theme |
Local Storage | Remembers your light/dark mode preference so the Site displays in your preferred theme on return visits. | Until you clear browser storage |
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies that identify or track individual users across websites. We do not use cookies to build user profiles or share data with advertising networks.
3. Third-Party Cookies
The contact page on the Site includes an embedded Google Maps frame to display our location. When this frame loads, Google may set its own cookies according to Google's privacy policy. We do not control these cookies. If you prefer not to have Google cookies set, you can choose not to visit our contact page, or use a browser extension that blocks third-party cookies.
Images on the Site are served from Unsplash's CDN. Unsplash may log request data (including IP addresses) for their standard infrastructure purposes. We do not control their cookie or logging practices.
4. Strictly Necessary vs. Optional Cookies
The two local storage items we use (ce_cookie_consent and ce_theme) are functional — they provide features you've specifically requested (consent preference memory and theme preference). We consider these strictly necessary to providing the functionality you expect. They do not track you for advertising or analytical purposes.
5. Your Choices
You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies and local storage entries have been set
- Delete existing cookies and local storage entries
- Block future cookies from specific sites or all sites
Blocking or deleting our local storage entries will reset your cookie consent preference and theme choice — you'll see the consent banner again on your next visit, and the Site will default to light mode. These are the only functional effects.
For instructions on managing cookies in your specific browser, consult your browser's help documentation.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we change how we use cookies or local storage in a meaningful way, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
